The Beginning

Welcome to IM+IM Construction. We are starting this blog as the world of building can be a bit daunting and we want to write things that will hopefully be useful to anyone who's thinking about doing an extension or loft on their home to maximise space and add value.

Firstly, let me introduce ourselves.  We are a husband-and-wife team specialising in loft conversions and extensions in the Richmond Borough and surrounding areas. We live locally in Hampton and cover Twickenham, Whitton, Teddington, St Margarets, Hampton, Richmond, Isleworth and surrounding areas.

My husband Ilir is not only an amazing builder but a wonderful man and husband. I may be biased but he is the hardest working, kindest and most honourable man I have met.  He goes above and beyond for everyone, including his clients. I have yet to meet anyone who does not like Ilir.  Having a friendly, kind and hard-working builder in your home is invaluable. He is clean and meticulous in all his work; even at home, lucky me!

I have been in property most of my adult life and have seen thousands of homes of all shapes and sizes. My biggest strength is honest communication; I am pretty straightforward. What you see is what you get with me.

I have lived in the Richmond Borough for 12 years, previously living in Fulham after moving over from sunny Los Angeles as a teenager. Ilir and I love the Richmond Borough and would not want to live anywhere else in London. The greenery and space are unrivalled. In our spare time, which there is not much of, we like to explore new restaurants in Twickenham, Richmond and St Margarets. Our favourites are Il Gusto in St Margarets, Gaucho on the River in Richmond and Brindisa Tapas on the river. I can't wait to try Tower House very soon which just opened in November, the terrace overlooking the river looks incredible. I also enjoy the gym and have been a member of David Lloyd Hampton for 8 years now.  Ilir doesn't need to work out in the gym (he is working out 6/7 days a week at work) but when I get him to tag along with me he likes to have a swim and use the spa after with me.
